Date: 2/8/07

Kick-Off Associated Components/Sub-Event:

  • Kick-off Event: Jerry Mathers as a guest speaker. His series, "Leave It to Beaver," first aired in 1957, the same year our Library was chartered.

Wrap-arounds for the Kick-off would include:

  • We’ll have ‘50s Car Clubs display in front of the Library.

  • Library staff will be attired in white shirts, pants, black loafers, and paper hats. (car-hops)
    • Food: hamburgers, hot dogs, soda to attendees

  • We’ll have the First and Last Annual 50’s Film Festival. Outdoors that night, showing “Rebel Without a Cause” in the parking lot or in the Annex C area. Turn us into “Gil’s Drive-In Theater”.
